MISHAWAKA — Local chefs will compete in an annual Michiana Chili Cook-Off from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 8 at the bandshell at Central Park. The public can sample all they can eat and make one chili vote for $10 per adult and $5 per child 9 and younger. Ages 1 and 2 are free. Beverages will be sold. And there will be a caramel apple booth and live music by the Michiana String Collective. The Food Bank of Northern Indiana benefits from this event held by the American Culinary Federation South Bend Chefs and Cooks Association.
