Mishawaka unveiled its newest park, named after a famous Indiana high school basketball coach. If you've seen the movie, 'Hoosiers'you'll know who it is. On the corner of Lincoln Way and Cedar, you will find Marvin's Garden, named after the late Coach Marvin Wood. While he's known for his basketball achievements statewide, Coach Wood called Mishawaka home, and the city wants to honor him and his legacy. Coach Wood's story of winning the Indiana boys basketball tournament while a young coach at Milan High School is known throughout thanks to the Hollywood movie, Hoosiers.
